Can you tell us more about your service ?
Yamgo is able to supply mobile phone content retailers with a full selection of rights-cleared extreme sports mobile videos. Yamgo have unique content portfolio ranging from 10 second Java videos to dedicated extreme sports channels optimised for 2.5G streaming and 3G networks. Yamgo work with international media owners and individual extreme sports athletes to ensure a wide selection of high quality, entertaining and unique extreme sports mobile videos. Yamgo engage media owners to ensure their content is optimised for mobile phones and networks. Can I ask what you want from Yamgo or where you feel we may be able to work together first, we currently supply video clips to operators globally.we produce content in 26 different sports and have direct relationships with some of the worlds best extreme sports athletes. What is your business model ?
Current business model with operators is revenue share with a minimum fee per download.  The minimum fee then allows then to sell via subscriptions, as long as they pay teh minimum per video we have no problems what thy do i.e buy 2 get 1 free etc…Future business model from mobile TV advertising is CPM rates – cost per 1000 ads shown, paid mobile TV series creation.  I.e they pay us to create a branded mobiel TV series for playlist of videos.


What are the projects, additional features you’re preparing ?

Branded mobile TV channels – dedicated to individual brands.  i.e we create a channel specifically fro Nike or any other sports brand.  All content is 100% rights cleared. Mobile Tv advertising is the future, our 5 focus groups and primary research – not yet released indicates user are willing to accept adverts in mobiel TV programmes ifthey do not have to pay for the content – just like TV

What are the current users’ feedback, your learnings on the service’s usage ?
We have interviewed 500 consumers aged 14- 30 – extreme sports captures teh attention and interest of consumers and allows brands to deliver a message at teh beginning or end of a clip.
Product placement will also be very big, but our research shows it needs to be blatent i.e zoomed in on logos as part of the film etc.Dealing with teh small screen size and optimising teh video content is our expertise – you can’t just take a regular movie and stream it to mobile.  All our content is made-for-mobile.  Its all about the user experience! I have a background in Investment banking, IT startegy, and more recently mobile games.Yamgo was set up in 2001 and focused on mobile TV production and publishing since 2005.  I am also an extreme sports athlete: 800 skydives, 320 BASE jumps, 1500 hours paragliding, white water kayaker and mountain biker.  The yamgo taem are extreme sports professionals, IT experts  and mobile TV experts
