Can you tell us more about your service?

Map My Tracks is the easy way to accurately track, or share in real-time, your sporting activity over land, sea or air using your mobile phone and GPS. Map My Tracks turns your mobile phone into your personal real-time GPS tracking device. Using a mobile phone with built-in GPS or an external GPS receiver you can map and track your location in real-time. Map My Tracks is great for bringing a new insight into your sporting activity, it provides a competitive edge and makes training fun. Map My Tracks let your friends, competitors or parents know where you are right now. It’s ideal for tracking activities like sailing, cycling, running, canoeing, skiing, walking, windsurfing, orienteering, mountaineering, horse riding, hang gliding, gliding, snowboarding, paragliding, hot air ballooning or just for fun to show your friends where you are right now.

What is your business model?
Map My Tracks is a subscriptions-based service. There is a free account that provides one hour of tracking each month. If you need more tracking you can upgrade to the Standard plan and track for 5 hours each month for £5.99. For power users there is Pro plan with unlimited tracking available for £10.99 a month.

What are the projects, additional features you’re preparing?
At the moment Map My Tracks is designed to provide individuals with easy GPS tracking. Additional features in the pipeline include various tools to allow users to compare multiple tracks against other users. This will allow users to virtually compete over the same track. We also have a lot of event tracking tools in the pipeline.

What are the current users’ feedback, your learnings on the service’s usage? / What is the future LBS ?
Current user feedback is very positive. Our users are tracking all over the world and each use it for different things. They are actively suggesting new features and tools that we are aiming to develop and include in future releases of Map My Tracks.
