Here are 4 questions Frid Nielsen Ceo SoonR :
Can you tell us more about your service ?
SoonR is dedicated to providing mobile business people with a service that lets them securely access applications and data on their PC from wherever they are in the world, across any network and on any handset without the requirement of servers or expensive software.
What is your business Model ?
SoonR itself continues to be a free service (users need pay for data traffic through their carrier) as we believe its critical for the growth of the company to engage and understand the needs of our users. We also work with key partners such as mobile carriers and internet service providers to provide this service for customers. Each of these partners will typically employ a business model for the service that fits their market dynamics. For instance European mobile carriers may chose to discount the data-traffic in return for a monthly fee.
What are the projects, additional features you’re preparing ?
Many people are still not used to doing computing type tasks on their mobile phone so it’s critical that we continue to work on maximizing the user experience of SoonR. To that end we are excited to announce extended support for Nokia’s AJAX enabled browser available in all Nokia S60 3rd edition phones. We also continue to be surprised about what PC functionality our users want to have available from their phone, so you will continue to see us aggressively innovate in this area.
What are the current users’ feedback, your learnings on the service’s usage?
We continue to hear about how our users succeed with SoonR, and we frequently post these stories on our web-site. There are many examples, most typically its business people that are in a critical moment, during a presentation or a meeting, where they realize that they need a document or presentation or maybe a picture. Having this makes them more credible, knowledgeable and sometimes even entertaining– and ultimately succeed. Other users just enjoy that they can travel or walk around the office/house without a laptop, they simply use their mobile phone and get to all their critical applications and data back from the PC. With SoonR, they can do business from anywhere without going through the hassle of bringing the laptop.
