Can you tell us more about your service ?
Wauw ! is a mobile entertainment company that leverages know-how in place-shifting to deliver convergent services between mobile handset and PC/web. Because of this we deliver our services free to the consumer in an effort to break through the price fears that are blocking many from discovering their handset as entertainment devices and exploit the handset to its full potential. We have a mobile portal that offers some branded content as a teaser (www.wauw.fm on your mobile browser). Many of its features require you to download Wauw! Studio, a PC-download that includes a content management client for playlist creation etc.

Price for flat-data (inclusive of streaming) and network preparedness (bandwidth) are not ubiquitously ready for full streaming services to reach consumers with reliable consistency. As a result we are spinning off the ‘community’ element of our feature menu, Wauw! Wee as a separate product, available on web and PC browsers at www.wauwee.com (live on Thursday April 4!). We will continue to provide Wuaw! Studio and are certain its time for success is near.

What is your business model ? We have 3 revenue generating instances: Advertising (to be launched in June), premium upgrade to Wauw Agent – a PC download/mobile download that: synchronizes Mobile photo content with PC and automates file transfer of new content,automates Wauw! Wee photo posting to the distributed widgets. Premium subscription : Mobile message reading will be subject to a 5€/month subscription. Choosing not to pay does not hamper usage, but reduces the effectiveness of mobile communications. A user may still read and answer his messages on his PC.

Distribution channels : Radio Partners – Wauw! Wee for Radios allows streaming of radio also. It permits radio dj’s to build stronger communication with their audiences, upload album art, photos of studio guests, and receive input from their listeners in real time. Of course it allows any user to take the widget and post it on any blog, social network or his/her desktop. Music Labels – the same concept is offered to new artists and new releases to publicize new content, increase awareness and drive sales. Network Operators – Wauw! Wee drives flat-rate data plans.

What are the current users’ feedback ? We are receiving massive positive user feedback on Wauw! Wee, in terms of its usefulness and ease of use. People love it. We have sought to take council from their desire to de-couple widget creation from the Wauw! Studio download, and this new release does just that – it allows people to start, share, post widgets in seconds.
