Can you tell us more about your service?
We started out by providing ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses for migrant workers here in the East of England. The problem is that may migrant workers can not attend conventional classes so we worked with language teachers to provide a course for mobile phones. We target mid-range SVG enabled devices. Fonefonics

What is your business model?
We work with language teachers to help create a tool that helps their learners. We also work with employment agencies and employers to integrate work related items (such as health and safety) into the language courses.

What are the projects, additional features you’re preparing?
We are currently developing our English courses to provide more levels and topics. Also we have developed a platform so other people can easily create lessons for other languages.

What are the current users’ feedback, your learnings on the service’s usage?
Our learners really like the system and we have had very good exam pass rates ! Its still very early days for us but we realise that we are offering a service that will be very useful for people all over the world not just migrant workers here in the East of England.
