Current status (roadmap, progress, number of users)

Our company is MobVision. We have been in mobile media for about 5 years now and launched Admoda which is our mobile advertising solution in June 2006. Admoda is essentially an ad network on the mobile internet. We are currently serving about 150 Million ads per month globally (with an available inventory of over 400 million impressions per month) and clients range from main street brands such as Adidas and Nokia through to a whole range of companies selling mobile entertainment and content.

Can you tell us more about your service? What is your business model ?
Admoda allows Advertisers to run targeted campaigns on mobile web, and we have a great set of tools and features to allow mobile internet site owners to monetise their traffic. Advertisers can set their targeting options and run Animated Banners, Static Banners, and Text Ads all on either a CPC or CPM basis. All this is set up and managed from a simple-to-use web interface where Publishers can view their stats and revenue, and Advertisers can view their stats and tweak their campaigns to ensure they achieve a desirable ROI.

Admoda is the ONLY solution on the market that lets you run animated banner ads, static banners, and/or text links over a live global publisher network of 400 million wap impressions per month. Admoda is a cutting edge ad serving and ad management solution built upon years of mobile experience and expertise. We have been building and running our own WAP sites, and developing/selling content since 2002. We understand the commercial and technical challenges associated with the mobile internet, and have incorporated this knowledge into our technology.

Our core focus is the delivery of the eyeballs for a particular campaign. We dont get directly involved in pitching to brands about why they should be involved in mobile. Our solution is aimed more at companies who are ready to run promotions and ad campaigns on mobile.

What are the projects, additional features you’re preparing ?
We cannot reveal our developments, but rest assured they further enhance the experience of the Advertisers, Publishers, Resellers and of course the end user who views the ads.

What are the current users’ feedback, your learnings on the service’s usage ?
Our experience to date is extremely promising. From the end users point of view our ads are non-intrusive as they appear on the mobile internet pages they are viewing. We are growing over 300% per quarter and are seeing a very high percentage of repeat customers. Our solution is exciting because the Advertiser can run banners along with text ads. We also give the option for the advertiser to run banners with 30 characters of text below. The visual aspect of the banners proves useful because the Advertiser can use their logo, brand and other graphics to entice the end user to click. The text below the ads further supports the banner with a call to action such as ‘Click Here’.

The market has changed dramatically over the last year – Its no longer simply about ringtones and games. Brands are launching mobile products and running trial mobile ad campaigns. The market is said to be worth 10 Billion within 2 or 3 years. Brands all over the world are showing an interest – and the reasons are obvious – mobile is very personal to the user and always with them. If you get the marketing right – make the ads and promotions relevant, non-intrusive, and free then our figures are showing that end users respond favourably.

The barriers stopping the growth of the mobile internet up to now have been slow speed, cost to the users, user friendliness, and whether there is anything worth looking at on the mobile web yet!

Thankfully that is all changing now:  The mobile phone operators are now introducing flat rate tarrifs that include surfing the internet. The mobile phone operators are also actively promoting the use of the mobile internet. Handset capabilities are improving fast and come ‘mobile internet ready. Finally more and more brands are launching their mobile products and services. This will again help pull users to the mobile intnernet.
